CPCC Food Program If you operate a licensed family child care business out of your home, you are eligible to participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) !

What Is Required ?

  • Current license and one child under 13 years old in care.
  • Copy of Child's identification form signed by parent.
  • Monitored minimally three times per contract year.
  • Attend one 2 hour training per year.

 

Recordkeeping

  • Daily menus, supplied by Community Pride, that meet the required meal pattern.
  • Meal Count Form (breakfast, lunch, supper, or supplements), based on actual daily count of meals served to all enrolled eligible children.
  • Computer not required







 

 

The meal pattern includes milk, fruits and vegetables, meat or meat alternatives, grains or breads, in amounts specified by age.

Approved Meal Types May Include :

Two meals and one snack

or

Two snacks and one meal

Two snacks and one meal

Reimbursed on a monthly basis

Whom Does The Food Program Serve ?

Children under 13 years of age, regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, age, or disability including the following, may be served by the program:

  • Infants
  • Preschool children
  • School - age children
  • If eligible, your own children under 13 years of age
  • Enrollees of any age who are disabled, if the majority of enrollees are under 19 years of age
  • Migrant workers (children under 16)
  • Children enrolled in after-school programs

 

Earn Extra Money

The USDA reimburses Family Child Care Providers for a portion of their food costs as long as meals served meet federal standards.
